Wedding Smile

In light of this being wedding season I had to share this it was too cute!

A little boy was in a relative's wedding. As he was coming down the aisle, he would take two steps, stop, and turn to the crowd. While facing the crowd, he would put his hands up like claws, and roar.

So it went, step, step, ROAR, step, step, ROAR, all the way down the aisle.

As you can imagine, the crowd was near tears from laughing so hard by the time he reached the pulpit.

When asked what he was doing, the child sniffed and said, "I was being the Ring Bear."

One Red Paper Clip

Well he did it! That guy who started out with one giant red paper clip in one year of trading has traded for a house in Kipling Sask., Canada. What an interesting journey that paper clip took him on. I am not that creative and wouldn't have ever thought of doing such a thing. You can read about the things he traded for on his blog if you are curious. Would you have done this sort of thing? Would you have traded the stuff or been tempted to keep it somewhere along the way?

Reunions

I attended my 10th HS reunion today and what an interesting experience it was. People that I never talked to in HS were there and were very friendly, remembered me, etc. Others that I actually spent time with couldn't remember my name or anything about me. Many of them had children and some of those that I would never have pegged as having kids were now domesticated, settled down and the family sort. Some hadn't changed too much, I immeadiately knew them, and others had changed so much I had to get the annual and look them up. People that were loners in HS and who I expected would drift off and no one would know where they ended up there while others that were part of the "in crowd" who I was sure would always be in touch were lost and no one knew where they were. It seems like 10 or 12 years is such a long time but in looking back it seems like yesterday and it's hard to believe so much time as passed. I was very glad I went and I look forward to the next one in 10 or 15 years...yikes we will all be almost or over 40 by then!

Made me think about the people that I know now and wonder where will we all be in another 10 years? Will we still be in touch? Will we still know what's happening with one another? How many kids will be in the mix and who will have husbands and wives to add to the mix? How much will people have have changed? Unanswerable questions at this point but time will certainly tell and I am curious to see how things turn out.

Brain on Vacation

Goodness I need to get out more and meet new people. I have come to this cluesion after meeting someone new this week and really doing a bad job it. It's been a long time since I met someone completely new, I mean someone that didn't know a friend already, someone I hadn't already heard about before, etc. Wow how strange it was. Strange but exciting and nerve wracking because after our encounter I thought it over and all the things I probably shouldn't have said. I wonder if I was completely out of this world boring though we did manage to talk for a couple of hours. Not sure if I will ever see this person again but if nothing else it was enjoyable while it lasted and I think I learned a few things about my self that I can work on...self-improvement, that's what's it all about it...not the hokey pokey!
